Connection (“fusion”) is integral to the 2025 IOC theme as this is the first in-person Congress in nearly a decade. The Congress provides the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and to make new connections. To be able to do so in beautiful Brisbane with incredible Aussie hospitality is a bonus!

Australia has a strong orthoptic community with excellent training programs, dedicated researchers and world-renowned experts. It is fitting that the Congress return to Australia to promote and celebrate our profession.

The Congress is a global event. Orthoptists, ophthalmologists and vision care experts from around the world are encouraged to present innovative research and share knowledge to ensure our profession continues to flourish globally.
