Venue and Getting There
The Congress is being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) www.bcec.com.au
Cnr Merivale and Glenelg Streets, South Bank, Brisbane, Queensland Australia

Registration and Check in
The Registration Desk will be located in the Plaza Auditorium Foyer on the Plaza Level of the BCEC and will be open during the following times:
Friday, 27 June: 7:30 am – 5:30 pm
Saturday, 28 June: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Sunday, 29 June: 7:30 am – 2:00 pm
On arrival, you will be able to print your name badge during the times listed above, using your QR code emailed to you. Friendly staff will be on hand during the opening hours, to answer your questions and provide information about the Meeting, venue, and surrounds.
Name Badges
Delegates are required to wear their name badge at all times. Uniformed security will be in position at the doors of the exhibition area. Delegates without a name badge will not be able to access the exhibition area.
Conference App
- Visit ioc2025.com.au/download-the-app or use the QR Code and download the Think Business Events app to your device
- Click ‘Tap to Start’
- Enter the Event Code: IOC2025
- Login with the email address you registered with, and use the password IOC2025
- You will now be prompted to create a new password. Please ensure it is unique to you and something you will remember.

Wi-Fi
Brisbane Convention & Events Centre has WIFI available for delegate use. To access BCEC wireless internet, please follow the steps outlined below:
- Ensure your wireless enabled device is turned on and you have enabled the wireless switch/button.
- Open your wireless connection list.
- Select BCEC from the list of available wireless networks.

Welcome Reception
Join with your fellow delegates at the Congress Welcome Reception to usher in the upcoming days of learning and networking. Located conveniently at the Congress venue (BCEC) the Welcome Reception is an opportunity to get into the spirit of the event and begin your Congress journey! Details are as follows:

An elegant evening inspired by the vast night skies, quiet beauty of Australia’s native landscape, and the constellations that unite us all from across the globe — a nod to both place and the international nature of the congress. Overlooking the city and Story Bridge the Rivershed at Howard Smith Wharves features stunning exposed timber and heritage features, not to mention one of the most picturesque views of Brisbane.

Lens Photo App and Social Media
We’re using the Lens app to capture and share the best moments from the International Orthoptic Congress 2025!
What is it? Lens is a simple photo-sharing app that allows attendees to upload, view, and download photos taken throughout the congress — in real time. Whether it’s a candid shot with colleagues, a great session moment, or a selfie at the Gala Dinner, we’d love to see it!

The committee invite you to use social media to promote the meeting and have dialogue with fellow colleagues in the industry. If you haven’t already, follow us on social media, download a promotional tile and use the hashtag #IOC2025 for all meeting related posts.
Dietary Requirements
Did you tell us about your dietary requirement? If you are unable to select appropriate food from the catering buffets, please notify the catering floor staff and they will direct you to the Special Diets Buffet in the exhibition hall. Please note that the dishes on the main buffet will be labelled with standard gluten free and vegetarian.
