Welcome
On behalf of the International Orthoptic Association, it is my privilege to extend a warm welcome to all attendees and members of our global orthoptic community.
The upcoming International Orthoptic Congress is scheduled in the city of Brisbane from June 27th to 29th, 2025. At the heart of our congress lie the core objectives of the International Orthoptic Association—to promote the science of orthoptics and facilitate the dissemination of related scientific material. Moreover, we are committed to keeping high standards of training and practice, ensuring quality in every aspect of our profession.
This congress serves as a tribute to our dedication to these objectives—a platform for orthoptists and vision care experts from across the globe to converge, exchange knowledge, and advance our collective understanding of the science of orthoptics.
After the success of our virtual congress in 2022, I am pleased to announce our return to an in-person format, marking a joyous reunion since 2016. Please join us in Brisbane.
We also are happy to announce the awards and prizes to be presented to orthoptists within our membership. Among others, the prestigious Burian award, the IOA education grant, and the IOA research award will serve as tokens of our appreciation for outstanding contributions to our field.
Welcome to the International Orthoptic Congress—a celebration of orthoptics on global eye health and vision care.
