IOA Education Grant Recipient Announcement
Mr Sutay Bin Jobe
We are delighted to announce that Mr. Sutay Bin Jobe from The Gambia has been awarded the IOA Education Grant. This grant honors his outstanding achievements, including earning top exam scores among the first cohort of the accelerated orthoptic degree program set up by the IPET committee a collaboration of IPOSC and the IOA. Mr. Jobe’s dedication to advancing orthoptics in The Gambia and his commitment to expanding eye care access for underserved communities represent the spirit of this award.
Thanks to the IOA Education Grant, Mr. Jobe will attend the International Orthoptic Congress 2025 in Brisbane, Australia, as a special guest, with all travel and congress expenses covered. He will also join us for all social events, including the Congress Dinner, where he will have the opportunity to connect with leaders and peers in the global orthoptic community.
